PlanBot

Tech stack: ShadCN, Gemini, React

PlanBot is a chat front end for questions on planning permission and related procedure, produced at the GDS × i.AI hackathon in Leeds under a 24-hour limit. ShadCN components supply accessible layout; Gemini handles natural-language replies over regulations and process wording.

The prototype covered guided questions, document upload as sketched in the brief, and stepwise application help; live departmental databases were not connected in the room.

The outcome demonstrates rapid service prototyping, public-sector design patterns, and guarded use of a large language model where accuracy and citation would require further work before production.
